The Northern California Renaissance Faire will be overjoyed to welcome you on any day of its five weekend run, but maybe that’s not enough for you. Every year the talented and dedicated performers, volunteers, and vendors spend hundreds of hours preparing this magical event and you can be one of us. The Magic is Brewing

Power tools are helping with the construction of our village, but there is also an army of sewing machines at work getting the 16th century English costumes prepared for opening day. The commander of that army is Kris Jachens, the Northern California Renaissance Faire’s Costume Director. Go behind the burlap as she discusses the costume requirements for the faire’s actors to achieve a unified and cohesive theatrical look.

The Magic Has Started

We begin our 11th season of the Northern California Renaissance Faire on Saturday, September 13th and continue weekends through October 12th at Casa de Fruta in Hollister, California. Saturday nights feature our Celtic Rock Concert Series. Following the faire’s closing at 6:00, you can wrap up your day of revels with a concert FREE for our regular ticket audience.

Will Wood’s Understudy FINALLY gets a chance to play Sir Francis Drake, Broon finds the scenery a little different on the Trader’s Market Stage, and shoppers with sharp ears should listen to some of the new and remarkable artists and artisans bringing their individual works to our unique marketplace, with our marketplace director, Michelle Amsbury.
